The English Language Proficiency Test is mandatory prior to the Qualifying Examination and the graduate student must obtain a minimum score of 27 (from a 0-50 score range). Graduate students whose mother tongue is English can submit a letter to the Graduate Commission requesting to be exempted from taking this test.
