This Meeting follows a first International Meeting on Working Memory held at the UNIFESP in São Paulo in 2007.

Scientific session will include behavioral and neural correlates of executive functions, phonological and visuospatial aspects of working memory, as well as working memory capacity, and their application to the understanding of developmental/aging research, including studies on cognitive disorders, cognitive rehabilitation, psychopharmacology, sleep deprivation, and other subjects.

This year’s meeting will be held at the UNIFESP in São Paulo, on the 26th and 27th of August, 2009.

Both Dr. Alan Baddeley and Graham Hitch will attend and give opening lectures on each day of the event.

CALL FOR ORAL PRESENTATIONS (in English only)

Submission deadline: 15 of June, 2009.

Abstracts will be read by the Scientific Committee and judged on scientific merit, innovation, readability and relevance.

Papers previously published or already being reviewed by another conference are eligible, but the authors must notify the committee.

Submitters will be notified of their final status by the end of June, 2009.

Depending on the number of submissions some abstracts may be selected for poster presentations.

HOW TO SUBMIT AND ABSTRACT

The abstracts must include a maximum of 200 words, be written in English, and should be preceded by a title in capital letters, followed by the authors first and last names and affiliations. The presenting authors should be indicated by an asterisk.

The abstract must include the rationale for the study, methods, results and conclusion, as well as financial support obtained and conflict of Interest (if applicable).
